Abstract

Abstract

The oil and gas industry are a serious process division that encounters cumulative challenges in operations with meaningful influences on both the environment and surrounding communities. The challenges of the absence of real-time monitoring, environmental impacts, and community contribution. Despite the existence of advanced technologies and current efforts in community engagement and environmental sustainability. However, the approaches are remaining reactive, limited, and disengaged from real-time requirements. In this research proposal, the discussion targets to explore the ways of Artificial Intelligence (AI) effectively used and harnessed to develop environmental sustainability, support community engagement, drive innovative strategies and achieve long-term involvement in oil and gas operations.

The research will focus mainly on the approaches that AI tools can be used to deliver practical, sustainable, and digitally powered tools and applications like smart feedback platforms, advanced predictive analytics, environmental monitoring systems, and emissions tracking. These tools can contribute to achieving cleaner operations, effective decision-making, operational social responsibility, and advanced transparency. In addition to that, I will also examine the ways that these technologies help shape trust within communities and drive long-term environmental objectives. The main emphasis will be on the UAE framework, specifically in oil and gas operations, where environmental accountability and community trust are crucial.

The study will use a mixed-methods approach to investigate how AI enhances environmental sustainability and community engagement in the UAE and oil and gas operations to certify that the results are locally applicable and customarily appropriate. The research will include expert insights, effective case studies, and community feedback, which offers strategic recommendations and supports national sustainability aims by realizing digital innovation tools to develop the energy sector.
