Welcome to the first issue of the sixth volume of the "International Journal of Business Analytics and Security" (IJBAS). This edition centers on a single, urgent thread running through today's organizations: the deepening integration of artificial intelligence into project, program, and risk governance. Several contributions examine AI's leadership and decision-making impact, including "From Decision Support to Leadership Transformation," which traces AI's evolving role within UAE technology organizations, and "From Dashboards to Decision Intelligence," which explores how executive project governance is being reshaped by intelligent systems. The PMI-CPMAI model appears throughout this issue as a unifying governance lens, applied to healthcare AI programs, educational decision-making, enterprise risk management, and oil and gas contract management, demonstrating its versatility across sectors.
Sector-specific applications are well represented, from AI-driven collaboration hubs supporting remote teamwork at HBMSU, to AI-enabled benefits dependency mapping for program value realization, to digital transformation strategies addressing project risk. Construction and healthcare contexts receive particular attention, with studies on AI-driven risk reduction in construction safety, cost, and schedule outcomes, and on human-AI synergy transforming clinical decision-making and operational excellence. Human resource management also features, examining how project-based approaches can strengthen recruitment efficiency.
Collectively, these thirteen articles illustrate a field maturing from AI adoption toward structured AI governance, emphasizing accountability, ethical oversight, and measurable value across industries.
