Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a strategic driver for smart city transformation, enabling governments to enhance operational efficiency, predictive decision-making, and citizen-centric services. However, AI project success in public sector environments depends heavily on structured governance, transparency, and continuous performance monitoring. This study investigates the impact of AI governance and CPMAI-guided methodologies on the success of AI projects within the Smart Dubai ecosystem. Using a qualitative secondary research approach supported by quantitative indicators from government reports and industry analytics, the study examines how governance maturity, strategic alignment, and iterative AI management contribute to sustainable project outcomes. The findings are expected to demonstrate that CPMAI-aligned governance practices enhance AI project reliability, accountability, and long-term implementation success in smart city environments.
